Games for Geeks: The 5 Geekiest Video Games

Geeks play all sorts of interesting games but the most important games for geeks are complex and challenging. They bring a new reality with a myriad of possibilities to our not so geeky world. I’m going to show you which I believe to be the most important games for geeks out there. I also chose games that are popular. There’s no point in playing an unpopular geeky video game that sucks.

The following are the most important games for geeks that you can find:

#1: World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria

Games for Geeks: World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria

World of Warcraft is the ultimate geek game. Geeks like to get better and build a geeky character. They do it in the real life and they do it in this game as well. World of Warcraft features a new world filled with characters, stories and plenty of interesting discoveries.

The player explores a new environment that has something in common with the real world. But the experience is completely different and addictive. The player wants more challenges and new abilities.

The Console Doctor has Xbox 360 Power Supply Adapters and PS3 Power Supply Units on sale all week long.

Mists of Pandaria is the fourth expansion of the World of Warcraft. The first three were called The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm. I personally consider Mists of Pandaria to be a very weird and geeky expansion even for the World of Warcraft.

The expansion lets players explore the newly discovered land of Pandaria which is populated by pandas that have a very similar fighting style with the pandas from the two-part movie Kung Fu Panda.

#2: DARKSIDERS II

Games for Geeks: Darksiders II

It’s an action and adventure video game. You are going to literally play the Death which is the fourth rider of the apocalypse. Believe it or not, Death has a brother called War and he’s in imprisonment for 100 years. Death wants to show to the world that its brother is innocent.

Darksiders 2 seems to be a mix of God of War, Tomb Raider and Prince of Persia. You are basically collecting items and fighting creatures. The Death gains experience and gets access to new levels, skills and abilities. In a way, this system is pretty similar to the system used by Warcraft 3 to level up heroes.

Darksiders 2 can be considered a geek game because it is inspired by a handful of classical geeky games.

#3: Assassin’s creed III

Games for Geeks: Assassins Creed III

Assassin’s creed III is bigger, bolder and with hundreds of new features. Each of its new features will be thoroughly enjoyed by all the geeks out there. Ubisoft put a lot of effort into making this game the best game in the series.

#4: Defence Of The Ancients 2 or Dota 2

Games for Geeks: DOTA 2

This game was inspired by Warcraft 3 and Starcraft. It features heroes with different abilities, strengths and weaknesses. This is for the people who want to expand their horizons and want to experiment with new features and ideas.

#5: DARK SOULS: PREPARE TO DIE EDITION

Games for Geeks: Dark Souls: Prepare to Die

Dark Souls is a brand new role playing game. It’s very challenging and people feel like the characters in the game are behaving naturally. They feel real.

The story is less developed than in other similar games and the characters learn more about the world by interacting with other characters and finding items.

Check out the above games for geeks and play them. Make sure you don’t get too addicted to them because if you do you are likely to spend hundreds of hours each year on each one of these video games.
